Gestalt Theory

As we have been told about Gestalt theory, I created this layout trying to make the elements match the three principles of the theory.

Closure: "the mind supplies the missing pieces in a composition"
On the top of this design, there are a number of squares in different sizes. They are put quite close to each other so they create a "line" in your mind, right?! A line that links from the image above to the text below. Therefore, without drawing a line, your eyes draw a line basing on those squares.

Continuance: "the eye continues in the direction it is going"
If you look carefully in the image, I hope you recognize the center point of this image. :) That is the words "of Plants"
The shape of top of the image is an upside down triangle, and the bottom place of the triangle is the words "of Plants"
Moreover, the shape of the yellow circle, which is like the moon, has the words "of Plants" on the top of the circle, and in a circle, one point at anyplace can be the meeting point of the starting and ending points of the circle. Quite strange, huh!!! ^^

Proximity: "where items are in relationship to each other and how that effects gestalt"
My idea about this element in my design was the connection between the flowers at the bottom and the yellow circle ( like a moon) and the title. They are linked together from the bottom to the top.

With this design, I try to create the feeling of gentle, mystery and strange.

It look so nice and smooth. I am really interested in the way that u use the basic shape liked square to arange the images of flowers.

Nice layout. I like the way you blend the background flower to a glowing white ball. However, i think the background looks a bit gray and the texture doesn't really suitable for the whole thing. Anyways, well done :D.

I think your design is much better than me in both layout and texture. Putting a picture as a texture for the text is the most difficult thing to me because I think that may lower the readability of the text. However, I recognize that it works if I give it a try after taking a look at your design. Nice work, Ngan!

I can see there is so good comments in here. For myself I guess you can improve more the concept of Gestalt by the way to refocus on Proximity for example. Here you added some squares graphics, but no need to do that. Why? Because the block-text as the pictures represent the 2 groups, so ok, maybe I can use those groups to start your design. Be careful when adding a background, the real impact of the article is the readability of the message, not just the visual created. After you can play with the opacity of the element to enlight some elements more than others.
